PRASTUTEE - Symbolising Development is a non-profit organization that took an embryonic shape during the year 1997 after a deep thought process of a handful of social activists having a strong inclination to work for the poor and marginalised section. Consciously and conspicuously, the undivided Koraput district was selected as the ambit to work as the district is dominated by tribals and other backward classes living in poverty & poor economic conditions. Due to the assiduous efforts of the founder members, it was registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 in 2000 and subsequently got its registration under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act of 1976 during the year 2005. Since its Inception, PRASTUTEE has been working relentlessly for the social economic and political growth of its targeted marginalized constituents focusing on the themes of livelihood, environment and child climate change, health & nutrition, WASH, Education, Women Empowerment, Child care & protection etc.
