Children and youth from underserved communities often grow up without access to safe spaces where they can express themselves, build confidence, or develop essential life skills. The education system largely focuses on academic performance, while emotional well-being, leadership, communication, and self-awareness are neglected.
Youth, in particular, are frequently labeled as unmotivated or incapable, when in reality they are underutilized—not given platforms, trust, or guidance to lead and contribute meaningfully.
Project LEAP aims to:
Build life skills, confidence, and emotional intelligence among children
Create safe, inclusive, and empathetic learning spaces
Engage youth as mentors and leaders, not just beneficiaries
Develop leadership, ownership, and community responsibility in young people
Bridge the gap between learning and real-life application
Primary Beneficiaries:
Children (ages 8–16) from underserved communities
Secondary Beneficiaries:
Youth (ages 17–25) who are trained as mentors, facilitators, and leaders
Both groups grow together—children through guidance and youth through responsibility and leadership.
Life-skills and leadership workshops
Experiential learning sessions (games, reflections, role plays)
Youth-led mentoring and facilitation
Community and school-based activities
Reflective circles to encourage self-expression and emotional awareness
Celebrating social and national events to teach ownership, teamwork, and civic values
Project LEAP follows an experiential and participatory learning approach. Learning happens through doing, reflecting, and applying—not lectures. Youth are trained and trusted to lead, while children learn in an environment that is safe, respectful, and non-judgmental.
The program is designed to be low-cost, scalable, and community-driven, making it sustainable even in resource-limited settings.
Improved confidence, communication, and emotional awareness among children
Youth equipped with leadership, facilitation, and mentoring skills
Stronger sense of ownership, empathy, and responsibility in participants
Creation of youth-led, child-friendly spaces within communities
Long-term ripple effect of positive role models and peer leadership
Project LEAP envisions a future where children grow up feeling heard and capable, and youth are recognized as change-makers rather than problems. The long-term goal is to expand Project LEAP to more communities and build a strong network of youth leaders who continue creating impact beyond the program
